- Twenty-five year old lovers who are raising their plant based babes in the sunshine of Queensland, Australia -

We met as young eighteen-year-olds one evening back in 2013, at a bus stop. Our connection was immediate and we talked until the early hours of the morning about anything and everything. We both shared a strong passion for food and photography, which we spent the following months bonding over; as well as travelling. 

Jake proposed on a holiday in New Zealand after less than three years of being together and we were married in Fiji six months later.

We both live a plant based lifestyle and are raising our beautiful children on the bountiful rainbow mother earth provides us.

We haven't always lived a healthy, plant focused lifestyle. When we first met, Kaity had been plant based for a little over two years, and vegetarian for years before that.  Jake didn't follow any set lifestyle but as soon as he learned about the various industries and impacts with modern day animal agriculture he decided that wasn't what he wanted to support anymore. Being young adults when we moved out, we have gone through times of eating very poorly and buying what was cheap and both gained weight due to our lifestyle choices. We didn't listen to our bodies and how they were feeling and what they needed.

When we found out we were expecting to bring a little life into the world our whole mindset changed. It was like we had been given a reset and our priorities around health and wellbeing took a huge pivot. One weekend we gathered all of the high sugar, highly processed foods in our cupboard and we gave them away. We started shopping at markets and fruit shops and buying delicious, fresh, produce which we made our full time focus. We started being more active and feeling healthier and saw noticeable changes in our bodies. Whole foods are still our biggest focused, and we eat mostly gluten free and low processed sugars, however we do enjoy a few treats here and there.

Our first born, Ash Owen, was born June 2017. He is an energetic three year old who loves the outdoors, crystals and animals. He gets excited helping us in the kitchen, creating and tasting recipes (especially anything involving beaters or a bowl he can lick clean)!

Our second son, Jye Arlen, was born November 2019. He is a blue eyed darling with boundless energy. He is already crawling, pulling himself up on anything his fingers can grab, has four teeth and knows what he wants (and won't let anything stop him).
